The two sides agreed to hold joint meetings twice a year and discussed an Iraqi–Turkish economic forum.
Meeting at the Council’s headquarters in Baghdad, the two sides discussed easing the movement of businesspeople and investment capital, promoting trade and investment opportunities in both countries, and attracting major companies to partner on strategic projects.
They also discussed member companies’ benefits and standards for quality management, fair competition and transparency in business.

A Council delegation led by Chairman Jaafar Al-Hamdani met the Turkish Ambassador in Baghdad and the embassy’s commercial counsellors.
Chaired by Jaafar Al-Hamdani, the Council’s meeting reviewed obstacles facing traders, its own needs, and preparations for a December conference.
