The meeting discussed ways to strengthen economic and trade cooperation and develop investment partnerships between the two countries.
The Ambassador and his counsellors welcomed the formation of the Council and its importance for economic and trade relations between Iraq and Türkiye.
Al-Hamdani stressed the need to activate the Council’s role in turning investment opportunities into joint projects and called for easier visa procedures for businesspeople. The meeting also addressed visa and customs obstacles and preparations for a Turkish delegation’s visit to the Council at the end of November 2026.
